Lance Jacobs

Founder and Director

Lance has served on Bethel Church’s Pastoral Leadership team for nearly 20 years, working in Evangelism and Outreach, and directing Bethel’s City Team. His passion is to see the Church engaged in culture in ways that bring societal transformation. Currently, he leads and directs NCAT, an anti-trafficking initiative in Redding, and The Mentoring Collaborative, a mentoring project for at-risk youth. The broader mission of seeing the Church networked and skilled-up to engage its locale in meaningful ways is what daily drives his leadership activity.

Three words that describe Mallory: Considerate, Loving, Joyful

Mallory is a North Carolina native who now enjoying the vast beauty of Northern California. After spending three years as a missionary with at-risk children in the Dominican Republic and two years overseeing a mentoring program in North Carolina, she found a true passion for seeing transformation and restoration happen in the lives of those are not experiencing their God-given right of freedom, safety, and wholeness. Mallory is thankful to be part of the Justice Collective team and the worldwide movement of sharing God's love to the disenfranchised and to those who He desires to set free.

Japheth Mast

Social Media and Marketing Guru

Three words that describe Japheth: Lover of Sarcasm, Funny Name, Crazy Hair

Japheth was born and raised Amish, and transitioned out of that lifestyle as a teenager, moving to Redding, California with his family. He was drawn to Justice Collective out of a passion to see real Godly justice in the earth, and to help inspire a movement of believers in enacting that justice in their day-to-day lives. He’s an artist to the core, and through his portrait photography he loves helping people break out of the boxes they’ve put themselves in. He’s passionate about seeing people get connected to their hearts, and talks about that a lot in his podcast. He is quite proficient at making yummy coffee drinks, terrible puns, and great friends. And having an absurdly unique name (pronounced “J-5th…”).

Jessica Nicholas

Project and Content Manager

Three words that describe Jessica: Dog-Lover, Bad-Joke-Appreciator, Fresh-Fig-Obsessor

Jessica Nicholas is passionate about equipping Christians to understand and do justice with excellence. She has been involved in justice projects in and outside of the church for 14 years, and wrote the book, “God Loves Justice: A User-Friendly Guide To Biblical Justice and Righteousness.” Jessica is a graduate of UC San Diego and BSSM, and currently works in public education in Los Angeles, California.

Rozie Thraves

Northern California Anti-Trafficking Coalition (NCAT) Victims Services Coordinator

Three words that describe Rozie: Camping, Traveling, Family

Rozie was born in the UK, where she studied Social Work. Following graduation, Rozie interned as a Survivor Support Liaison with a rescue charity and assisted with the support needs of men who had been held in slavery in the UK from various different countries. Rozie moved on to work in two different safe houses for trafficked men and women before moving to Redding. She now leads outreach to women in prostitution, as well as an advocacy program and support group for trafficking survivors with NCAT. She loves spending time with family and camping/kayaking/ generally spending time in the great outdoors. Old American trucks are her weakness.

Soraia Correia

Justice Collective Volunteer

Three words that describe Soraia: Community, Authenticity, Wholehearted

Soraia Correia was born in Portugal, but has lived in both Angola and South Africa. After finalizing her Business degree, she moved to Redding and is now volunteering with Justice Collective. She has a passion to see revival that impacts all spheres of society and its changes norms, thinking patterns and cultural standards. By partnering with Justice Collective, she hopes to aid in helping others find their voices and show that they can surpass their circumstances and create a brighter future.

Kirsten Steele

Justice Collective Volunteer

Three words that describe Kirsten: Compassionate, Passionate, Joyous

Kirsten was born in Western Australia to American parents, making her a dual citizen. She has lived and traveled between these two beautiful nations throughout her life. She is married and has three children. Before moving to Redding, CA, her family lived in rural northern Nevada for 5 1/2 years, where she ministered with a local team to women that had ended up in some very hard situations within the brothels. Now interning with Lance Jacobs, she is serving as an advocate for NCAT and helping with outreach to women in prostitution in Redding. Kirsten is devoted to seeing the broken ones that have fallen through the cracks of society loved well and made whole.
